Track Africa's Fantastic Beasts on Game Drive and Boat

Wherever you are in the Zulu Kingdom you are no more than 3 hours from Africa’s iconic Big 5. Today, however, you shall be a whole lot closer. We’re hitting the road pretty early on this one —05h30 to be precise. As you know, predators are most active around dawn and dusk.

Check-in at the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve [the 2nd oldest reserve on the planet]. Here we will embark on a half day safari within the reserve in one of our Hyundai H1 vehicles (Please note — this is not an open safari 4x4). Jump aboard but don’t forget your complimentary Carl Zeiss binoculars and multilingual safari guide books. Enjoy a half day game drive tracking the Big 5.

Ready for a spot of lunch (own cost) in the little town of St Lucia where hippos roam the streets. Did you know that St Lucia is the only town in Southern Africa which is completely surrounded by water. Take a drive down to the estuary and get comfortable in your river boat for a 2 hour cruise as your skipper manoeuvres their way around pods of hippopotamus through this the UNESCO Isimangaliso Wetland Park. Time to head back to the city of Durban via. our favourite biltong shop.
